DOMAINE MIOLANE

The Miolane estate is an historical family-run business, passed down through the generations. Patrick Miolane took control in 1983, at the age of twenty, and now works with his daughter Barbara, who together are a charming and efficient duo.

The father-daughter duo manage 9ha of vines at Saint-Aubin, a village in the prestigious Côte des Blancs. Domaine Miolane produces a wide range of appellations, from Bourgogne aligoté to Premiers Crus, with mainly white wines.

After studying at the Grandchamp agricultural school, Barbara acquired experience of the wine business on other estates, first at Chassagne-Montrachet, then in the Loire region, and finally in the United States. Barbara explains that, “There is a great deal to be learned from others, especially regarding the commercial side of the business. I have also had opportunity to taste many different wines, and this has helped me to decide what I want to do here on the family estate.”
