FRANCOIS LE SAINT
—Loire, Sancerre
The Francois Le Saint vineyard was developed by Paul & Benoit Fouassier and Florence & Benoît Chazallon winemakers, to create a new range of biodynamic wines.
This vineyard spans nearly 8 hectares, all 15 years old. Eighty percent are planted with the ancient, noble Sauvignon variety. The winery expanded in 1972, and its vinification process evolved to infuse traditional practices with modern techniques.
Note:
The vines are cultivated by one of the oldest wine-growing families in the Loire Valley—Domaine Fouassier (1749) is one of the most revered names of this appellation, established in the heart of Sancerre.
