Appearance: Pale ruby
Aromas: Rounded red and black cherry fruits
Palate: Full body—tannins, and ripe freshness accentuate an aromatic red cherry. Slightly smokey, where you can find notes of undergrowth, spices, and black fruits. Overall, the wine carries lovely balance and depth
Pairing: Duck, goose, sichuan food
Notes:
The Hauts-Jarrons (Jarrons meaning tree branches) are located in the middle of the slope under the Mont Battois hill heading towards Beaune. Their deep and sandy soil is similar to that of the Beaune-Bressandes. Likewise, the wines are more like those from Beaune than Savigny. Very full-bodied and tannic, and remain closed when young. They require a few years before reaching fullness and are favourable to a long aging process.
