Notes:
The Cote de Nuits Villages appellation has become increasingly rare. The terroir is composed of clay-limestone, with a subsoil of compact clay and Comblanchien marble. "Vieirville" hints at the area's Roman history, as it lies near an ancient villa covered in stones.
