Appearance: Pale ruby
Aromas: Fragrant, discreetly spicy, and toasted, with notes of fresh red cherry, a hint of morello cherry, crushed strawberry, raspberry coulis, and redcurrant jelly
Palate: Light body—savoury expressive and structured, with fine-grained yet gripping tannins on the attack. Finishes with notes of spice, chocolate, and slight toast (toasted hazelnut and wood in the background). Beautiful acidity that balances the slightly dry tannin structure at the end
Pairing:  Duck, goose, pigeon and gruyere
 
Notes:
Spanning 1 hectare, the plot is located atop of the Nuits-Saint-Georges vineyard beneath a striking cliff of hard clay. This distinctive climate lent its name to the estate, as they are the primary owner of this rare site (1 hectare out of 1.6 hectares). The clos is encircled by three walls, with only our estate's vines within. The terroir is composed of marly-limestone soil, with rock nearly at the surface.
